From 22nd to 24th October, Dawn and Robert came home for their half-term visit. We prepared many fun activities to do together which we will show you in this blog. The theme for this particular visit was Halloween and Autumn.
Countryside walk
The whole family joined us for a walk across the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside. It was lovely exploring the area and we even payed a visit to the church nearby to support our local community.
If you know any nice walks around the Cambridgeshire area, please let us know!

Trips out
In addition to the walk, we visited the neighbouring recreation grounds. One of Dawn’s favourite things right now is outdoor gyms so she loved using the equipment. Robert had a blast on the swings.
After that, we had a drive through some picturesque villages. There was a train that went past! Choo-choo!
Activities
This week we were focusing on singing and dance. Going along with our Halloween theme, we sang and choreographed to ‘Ghostbusters’. We are hoping to release some dance/vocal covers in the future! If you haven’t already noticed, our latest podcast episode was also about this topic.
Dawn loved her Halloween activity book. She experimented with different coloured pencils and enjoyed adding stickers!
Our favourite activity though would have to be baking the ‘Frozen’ cupcakes! We already have a separate blog post showing how we made them:

Next time:
Dawn’s next visit home will be in December, in time for Christmas. In the meanwhile, we will still be meeting up at her home in Peterborough, hopefully preparing some festive activities!
That is it for today! Thank you so much for reading. While you’re here, you may enjoy our podcast (spotify underneath this). Episodes are uploaded fortnightly. We talk about our hobbies as well as having special guests every now and then! It would mean the world to us if you could check it out 🙂
